Take Flight

This painting was shown in my Fall 2024 solo show. One of the recurring characters in my show is a peacock. When I was going to college in Long Beach, there was a peacock that lived in my neighborhood! I named hame Pierre (aka. Perri). He was an ethereal being, the most beautiful animal I had ever seen. To me it was crazy that a peacock was living in my urban neighbor hood, I wondered how he adapted. to his environment and survived?
